The hCG Diet - Basic Diet Protocol

Phase 1:
Loading days. Day 1 and day 2. You DO need to take the hCG on loading days. Take 10 drops 3 times per day under your tongue. Once in the morning; again 30 minutes before lunch; and again 30 minutes before dinner. Hold the drops under your tongue for 60 seconds and swallow the remaining liquid. The loading works with the hCG to prepare your body for the coming changes. There are two primary reasons for loading:

1. The hCG effect of burning your abnormal fat stores for fuel does not kick in until the third dose, so eating 500 calories without hCG will cause problems in terms of losing structural fat and being extremely hungry until it does kick in.

2. You need to replenish the structural fat stores that are usually depleted in dieting, assuming that you have dieted without hCG in the past. The emphasis here is on consuming foods high in FAT. You may eat whatever you want, but fats are what you need to focus on these loading days. Loading days are to help your body set up the new hCG in your system to start burning fat.

Phase 2 Drops:
Continue taking the hcg drops. On the 3rd day, you will begin the healthy low calorie diet. You may only eat the foods listed below. You will continue the low calorie diet for 3 weeks if you are trying to lose 15-20 pounds; or 6 weeks if you are trying to lose 34-40 pounds. Weigh yourself every morning when you wake up. Keep track of how much you lose. List of allowed foods: (no variations allowed; if an item is not on the list, it is forbidden).

Protein: (Two 100 weight gram servings per day. Weight the meat before cooking. 100 grams = about 3.5 ounces):
Chicken
Shrimp
White Fish (Tilapia, Halibut)
Extra lean ground beef
Lean Steak
Lobster
Crab
Veal
Tuna ( In Water, not oil)

Bread: Two servings per day
1- Melba Toast
1- Grissini

Vegetables: Two servings per day
Green Salad (1 Cup)
Cucumbers (1 Cup)
Tomatoes (1 Medium)
Celery (1 Cup)
Onions (1 Small)
Spinach (1 Cup)
Chard (1 Cup)
Fennel (1 Cup)
Red Raddish (1/2 Cup)
Asparagus (4 oz)
Cabbage (1/8 Head)
Chicory (1 Cup)
Beet-Greens (1 Cup)

Fruit: Two servings per day
1- Apple
1- Orange
1/2- Grapefruit
5- Strawberries

Beverages: Unlimited amounts
Black Coffee
Tea
Water
Sparkling water
Sweeteners- Only Stevia and Sweet n' low are allowed. No sugar or sucralose (Splenda)

Only 2 Tbsp of milk are allowed for milk each day for coffee or tea.

Spices/Seasonings:
Most spices are allowed so long as there is no sugar. Salt and pepper are allowed.
Read the ingredients of everything you consume. Even a minor intake of something that is not allowed may stall the weight loss. Gum is allowed making sure it is sweetened with Xylitol. At the end of the 3 or 6 weeks, you must stop taking the drops, but continue the low calorie diet for 3 days to allow your body to purge the hCG from your system. It is very important to adhere to this portion of the diet; if you immediately go back to a regular diet, all lost weight will be regained.

Phase 3:
In this phase, more regular food is added back into the diet while still avoiding sugars and starches for 3 weeks. Small amounts of dairy, fats, oils and nuts are introduced. Avoid extra sweet foods like bananas and mangoes in this phase.
It is very important to weight yourself every morning during this time as your body adjusts to your new weight. You must stay within 2 pounds of your lowest hCG weight in phase 2. If you go over 2 pounds, you must have a *"steak day" to return to your previous weight. If you have not reached your goal weight by the end of phase 3, repeat phase 2 again until you have reached your goal weight.

Phase 4 Maintenance:
After you have reached your goal weight and have stabilized, you are ready to add all normal foods back into your diet, including bread, potatoes, other starches, sugars, fruits all in moderation, of course. By now, you should have developed a taste for healthy foods and it is encouraged to continue making healthy food choices. Continue to weigh yourself each morning. If you go over two pounds above your lowest hCG weight, a steak day is required to bring you back to your goal weight. The steak day must be done the same day as the gain. You will be able to maintain your new weight for life with this simple system.

LiveSlim for life:
Continue controlling your weight by morning weighing and making healthy food choices. Use LiveSlim meal replacement shakes to replace one meal a day for optimum weight management.

*Make certain that you have an accurate scale in your home so that you may closely monitor your weight each and every day. Keep track of your daily progress. Remember, that which gets monitored gets improved.
**On any morning where your weight is more than two pounds since your last hCG dose, skip breakfast and lunch, but drink plenty of water. In the evening, eat a huge steak with only an apple or raw tomato." Dr. Simeons
