Planning, outlining and designing presentations is one of the toughest things you'll have to do. Wait, I take that back - giving the presentation in front of a group of people is one of the hardest things you'll have to do.
For both experiences, you need great slides and a great overall performance. Because of this the Slidegarden team went out and found some of the top presentations on presentations that give you explicit and implicit advice through their own work.
Great, right? Here are a few of our favorites:

3. How to present at TEDx found on SlideshareAlthough this is specific to a particular kind of presentation, the concepts here are just as important. One big thing to remember is thinking outside of your presentation, itself. Think about your stage, about the presentation screen, etc. Keep all of these in mind while you're presenting and maybe come up with some unique ways to leverage the stage or screen itself.
4. Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs found on SlideshareOne big takeaway from this wonderful presentation is to tell stories like you would write a novel. Steve Jobs introduced the Star Wars concept as a story. He converted data and metrics into stories that anyone could easily understand.
5. Rethinking Presentation Design found on SlideshareTwo great takeaways from this presentation is to not start off with blank slides in Powerpoint, instead start with a blank piece of paper. The key is to find your message and work from there. Your message should fit your audience and your industry landscape. Once you've found it, it dictates your design (color scheme, typography choices, images, powerpoint templates, etc). After you have your message and your design, it's time to practice and prepare for the performance, because your audience wants to be entertained at the end of the day.
