How to lose weight - The basics - Health

There are a few basic truths anyone should know before attempting to lose weight. Everyone who consumes food of any sort is on a 'diet'. This may be due to financial, regional or educational reasons. For most people the word 'diet' refers to eating to lose weight. But it is important to remember that everyone is on a diet of some sort - whether to lose weight or not.So you want to go on a diet to lose weight? The first thing you should consider is the fact that some part of your lifestyle will have to change. Whether thats the food you eat, the places you eat or simply the fact that you may have to start exercising. You must realise at first that if you want to lose weight you cannot carry on doing the same things you have been doing. Something will have to change. To go a diet to lose weight first you need to realise - if you haven't already - is that you must consume less calories in a day that you will burn in a day. Simple common sense! But some people don't know this a nd try as hard as they might, they don't realise why they are not losing weight.Obviously there are thousands if not more diets out there and some will work for some people and some won't. It really does depend on who you are and what you do. So you could sign up for a diet with many claims to work well BUT it is not guaranteed to work for everyone - because everyone is different. Also some people just don't have the funds to be paying out for diets. You may want to simply change the way you eat without having to sign up for some group or whatever - again it just depends on your circumstances. I would not advise that anyone spend a penny of their money on a 'diet' product as most people have food in their homes and as long as know the correct way to manage your meals any food is OK.The reason I say I would not recommend anyone spending money on a product to lose weight is this - we all have to eat. We all usually have some amount of food available to us at home or wherever. W e just need to know what to do to reduce our weight. If you want to lose weight you must realise that whatever it is that needs to change - and there will definately be something - then the change must last forever, otherwise if we see the change as short term then what will happen is the weight will probably go back on at some stage.OK so we understand that we have to make some sort of change to our lives. Do we have to change the way we eat? Not neccessarely - if we are wanting to change our lives FOREVER then why should we change the way we eat now, unless you are not happy with what you eat right now. I for one do not want to give up chocolate or takeaways or anything else I enjoy - sure I could do it for a while but not forever! So we do actually have to change the way we eat and this is what surprises some people. Life is meant to be enjoyed and eating is one of lifes little luxuries so why not treat yourself. Obviously it is not sensible to overeat and indulge on fatt ening foods and be silly. But we all know we what we should eat more and less of. All I am saying is that to lose weight it is not important to stop eating the things you love.Ok so if we can eat whatever (in moderation of course) then how do you actually lose weight? Well before I said you need to consume less calories that you burn off. So logically we need to start burning off more calories than we do at the moment. And thinking of changing our lifestyles FOREVER we need to think of something to do that we will enjoy, have time for and of course afford. So exercise is the answer. But a lot of people do not like the word exercise. They may think of gyms or running or any other aerobic activity. Exercise can be anything you want it to be as long as you are MOVING. You DONT need to sign up to an expensive gym or embarrass yourself jogging on the streets or trying to cycle to work or whatever. It does not need to be strenuous. All you need to do is burn calories - not break in to a sweat. Now of course everything we do burns calories - we just need to burn more than we consume. Some people who are overweight however are so obese that any form of exercise may be dangerous and this is why it is important to speak to a doctor or professional before attempting to lose weight. I do not advise making an appointment with your GP to ask him/ her how to lose weight, rather see if there are any groups at your local surgery or community centre. If however you are quite obese to the point where you cannot walk unaided then making an appointment to see your GP is the first step.So we have talked to a professional and got some advice and found that we are not too overweight to start exercise - great! No matter what you are told you do not need to buy any kind of special 'diet' food - just keep to your normal shopping list - again as long as it is sensible and I won't go into it here what foods you should and shouldn't eat - all I am saying is don't stop eating y our favourites unless you think you could keep it up forever. We dont need to change the way we eat but we do need to burn more calories. Start making notes of how many calories you burn - its easy - all the info is found on any food label but if you're unsure check the internet. Then make a plan, a rough guide as to what you consume a day. You must do it daily, not weekly as we will try and burn more calories per day than we consume. It won't work if you do it week by week or every two days etc, it must be daily. Therefore you will need to do some form of exercise everyday. Now for the exercise - I suggest walking. Not only is it FREE, its easy, enjoyable and you can get places for free. You can do it alone or with your friends or family and is one of the best ways of burning calories there is. Now start!Just ten minutes a day at first - we will not lose weight from day one. Remember this is a long term thing. After a week extend to half an hour. Actually have a plan of where you're walking. Don't just walk aimlessly round the block - have a purpose, go to the shop, if the shop is close to you go to a further one! Always try and time yourself and try to calculate how far you have been. The more you walk then the easier it is to go further with less effort. Try to get to at least an hour of walking a day - however if you are also doing some other form of exercise (dance, Wii fit!) then you will not need an hour. If you stick to this plan then entually you will see the change an dwhen you notice your weight coming off then really you will only need to walk for half an hour a day to maintain an ideal weight.Remember this is not a quick fix solution but a chance to change your life for the better. This is the simplest, cheapest and most effective way of losing weight. If you like another exercise better than walking, then do that instead. Start off at 10 minutes a day, gradually work your way up to an hour over a few months or so (always keep some k ind of record to motivate yourself) tell your friends to help to remind you and then finally keep it up and reduce to 30 minutes a day when you start seeing results - and you will!So here are just some basic tips for weight loss. It will work but you have to give it time. Some people will say they don't have an hour to spare a day for walking - if this is the case then obviously dedicate whatever time you have but you must realise that you need to change something in your life and if you cannot free up an hour a day then maybe you are not ready to lose weight.Hope this has been a help - my free ebook has more on this subject you can get it here: /natbifta/dietforfreeNatalie

A difference between Takeaway and Restaurant - Food - Restaurant Reviews

A Restaurant and Takeaway, both are same but it has some difference in service and cuisine. A Takeaway means prepared food that is intended to be eaten off of the premises. The Restaurant is an establishment which prepares and serves food and drink to customers in return for money. Takeaway food is often fast food, but not always so. Whereas fast food carries the connotation of a standardized product from a globalized chain or franchise, take-away outlets are often small businesses serving traditional food, which is sometimes but by no means always of high quality. In some cases, there are facilities for customers to order food by telephone, fax, or over the Internet, to be collected or delivered. This trend is thought to be on the rise as many small businesses take to the Web to promote their take-outs. Food that is delivered by a restaurant to a customer is also sometimes called take-out. Certain types of food that are normally served in sit-down restaurants are commonly available
