So the men in your life are in need of some gifts? Maybe you are looking for a romantic present, trying to work out what to
get for an annoying brother or thinking about treating your dad. Well, whichever man needs a present we think we can help
with a few gift ideas. Choosing memorable presents for men is all about knowing him really well and getting him things he
has already expressed an interest in.
Here are a few of our favourite presents for men:
Dad
Your dad is probably a bit of a know-it-all. There is a common theme with papas. They all tell bad jokes and love puns; they
all have somewhere they go to hide, such as the garage, garden shed or home office and they all 'know best.' That is why we
think that you should get your dad something he can use, or something that will teach him something new. If he's got such a
big brain already, why not make it even bigger?
You could get him something related to a hobby, such as a nifty gardening set if he likes tugging up weeds or, if he enjoys
a glass of wine or likes to do a bit of cooking what about a Learn-It Gift Box. It's a whole mini course in a box that'll
teach him all about wine or world cookery, or even creative writing! Perhaps he could finally pen that novel he goes on (and
on) about? Those aren't just great gifts for dads they're brilliant presents for men generally.
Partner
Your boyfriend, fianc` or husband is the most important man in your life (most days) and chances are he knows it. Keep both
of you from taking each other for granted by making a romantic effort with gifts for him.
If you wish he paid you more attention, or relaxed with you more then what about giving him the gift of a spa day together
where you can unwind, laze in the sauna, dip in the pool and enjoy massages together. If you both love thrill seeking then
how about experience days where you go for a drive in a monster truck or take to the sea in a sailboat. The time you spend
with your partner is precious so make sure it's well spent. Get presents for him that you can share together!
Brother
This article is about buying presents for men, not monkeys, but despite that we thought we'd talk about brothers. If your
brother is anything like mine he's a bit of a joker and he made your life growing up a real challenge. He was probably good
with the practical jokes, play fights and sweet stealing. That is why we recommend getting your brother a retro sweet
hamper. That is right, all those years he stole your sweets and now you can buy him a great big sweet hamper, take it over
to him, let him unwrap it and then dig your fingers in and steal as many as you can fit in your mouth! See how he likes it.
Or, if sweets aren't his thing, (who doesn't like sweets?) what about a pizza made completely of chocolate with sweets as a
topping, presented in a takeaway pizza box? You can steal a slice of that too.
Grandfather
Grandfathers love attention, they spend a long time with their own children trying to get them out of the house, but by the
time you were born they were bored with gardening and housework and they want to hear the pitter-patter of your little (or
now, rather large) feet around the house. They usually love being thought of so much that they can be rather unfussy when it
comes to presents and tell you that anything will do.
With a little bit of investigation, however, you'll probably find something perfect. For example, a grandfather who loves
trains and perhaps has a toy train set from when he was little, would relish the chance to step aboard a real steam train
and with an experience day, he could. Or, what about a driving experience in a vintage car topped off with a summer picnic
in the country or a posh pub lunch? That's the ticket.
Co-workers
Male co-workers can be a little sardonic or scathing sometimes. Choosing them presents can more often than not be all about
tickling their funny bone. So consider their sense of humour and take a look at some funny or silly presents if you're
trying to buy them a gift. Failing that, there are not many men out there who don't enjoy a good whisky, so if your budget
can stretch that far why not get them a special, 40 year old, personalised bottle of scotch. You can get them in specially
engraved wooden presentation boxes and they look ultra-sophisticated.
